医学气象学研究表明，冬天是心脑血管疾病的高发季节。时间生物医学的研究显示，心脑血管疾病多在深夜和凌晨发作，而心肌梗塞、心源性猝死和中风的发病率以清晨为高。

　　凌晨4点左右，人的心跳与呼吸速度减慢，生命活动处于最低点，此时心脑动脉的血流极缓，易致血栓形成，心脑缺血;而当清晨人从“半休眠”状态苏醒时，呼吸心跳加快，血流加速，血压升高，又易使已老化的心脑血管破裂。为防不测，脑动脉硬化、高血压、心脏病病人以及年老体弱者，冬天早晨起床前，宜躺在床上闭目养神数分钟，等头脑完全清醒、身体适应了“生物钟”节律的变化，再缓慢起来。其间，可在床上先左右后轻缓地伸伸懒腰，做些微小的活动，以确保起床及其以后的平安。
